Sound Project

My Partner Martin and I were tasked with the goal of : Telling  a story through sound effects and other auditory techniques. We had to create a 1-2 minute scene with using strictly sounds and a maximum of seven words.

In order to create several of these sounds , we used foley . The following link displays the video clips showcasing the foley behind the scenes. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ypbHmlcBh4j3OzGSgUY081SRC-V73zGT/view?usp=sharing

As far as the scene goes, our genre of choice was action . The scene consists of 2 guys getting into a street fight that includes numerous amounts of environmental and action sounds. Some sounds that were created with the use of foley, was the sound of the gun loading right before the gun  is fired. As seen in the video, this was done by taking off and putting back on the back cover of a TV remote. Another example of foley , was the sound of the man falling after he had been shot. This was done by dropping notebooks covered in jackets from roughly 2 feet above the ground.

Another key component of this project for us, was definitely non- diegetic music. We chose a song by Donald Glover(Chilidish Gambino). As the scene was developed , the situation would become more and more tense resulting in us raising the gain as the scene went on.

Overall, I believe this was a great piece and down below is the link to our editing timeline as well as the final product.
